BRING ME THE HORIZON Replaces BURY YOUR DEAD On KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's European Tour
January 7, 2007Sheffield, Yorkshire, U.K.-based extreme metal act BRING ME THE HORIZON has replaced BURY YOUR DEAD on KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's European headlining tour, which kicks off tonight (Jan. 7) in Nottingham, England. Also appearing on the bill are Swedish thrashers THE HAUNTED.
BRING ME THE HORIZON's debut album, "Count Your Blessings", was released in October via Visible Noise Records. The band, which cites its influences as METALLICA, CARCASS, AT THE GATES and PANTERA, among many others, received the Kerrang! award for "Best British Newcomer" in 2006.
"Winning that award meant everything to us," vocalist Oliver Sykes recently told Drowned in Sound. "I feel blessed and just so thankful for everything that's happened to me. We weren't even a proper band two years ago and now we've got a record out and we just want to tour the world with it."

BURY YOUR DEAD was forced to cancel its participation in the KILLSWITCH ENGAGE tour after the group's frontman, Mat Bruso, left the band in order to become a teacher and focus on his upcoming marriage.
